ABOUT MORGAN
With deep roots in Placer County, Morgan Gire is a seasoned prosecutor known for his integrity, honesty, experience and leadership. He currently serves as District Attorney of Placer County and is seeking to retain the office in the June 2022 election.
Morgan has committed his career to a safer California, and for him, it’s not about the accomplishments or wins — it’s about serving the public with a fair demeanor and unquestionable ethics.
He was born and raised in Loomis, California and graduated from Jesuit High School. After completing his bachelor’s degree at San Diego State University and his Juris Doctor at Vanderbilt University School of Law, Morgan built his career as a prosecutor throughout the state before returning to Northern California in 2005.
In 2020, he was appointed as District Attorney in Placer County and once again calls Loomis home. Morgan is married to Alissa and together they have three sons and a yellow lab, Bruce.
